Namly Studio is a house extension conceived as an office space with a dedicated semi-public entrance. Commenced during the pandemic-induced lockdown, this project engages attendant work-from-home practices and is designed as a permanent replacement for the commercial office space.

Local regulations reformed in 2015 have since allowed for increased density in landed property homes. Property built prior to then presents a house type where additional area will be added as market pressures increase. Considering this in light of recent events, the home office extension as it pertains to landed property in Singapore is an emergent type that is fertile for conceptualizing novel domestic and urbanistic futures.
